COMMUNITY EDUCATION & PREVENTION
Outreach Educator
Department: Education & Prevention
FLSA​ Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Under the direction of Social Change Services Manager. The Outreach Educator will be responsible for conducting prevention education strategies to address the root cause of family violence in this community. The Outreach Educator provides public awareness, community education, and workshops on domestic violence.  The Outreach Educator will work collaboratively to support coworkers on various projects assigned.  Outreach Educator works closely with appropriate Advisory Committee members, Staff, volunteers, and the community to achieve goals of the Community Education and Prevention Program.

OUTREACH SERVICES
Custodian
Department: Facilities Operations
FLSA​ Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Days, may include, evenings, and weekends when needed.
Under the direction of the Facility Operations Coordinator, the Custodian/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure Friendship of Women, Inc.'s facilities, grounds, building systems, and equipment remain safe, functional, and well maintained. This position performs a wide range of maintenance, repair, and facility support duties, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and mechanical repairs; routine inspections of building systems and safety equipment; installation of equipment and appliances; grounds maintenance; and general upkeep of agency properties.

 The Custodian/Maintenance Technician also performs custodial services to maintain a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment across agency facilities, including the Emergency Shelter, Community Center, administrative offices, and other agency locations. The position responds to maintenance requests, supports facility renovations and repairs, monitors the condition of building systems and equipment, obtains estimates and coordinates the purchase of maintenance supplies and repair parts, and transports tools, equipment, donations, and other materials as needed to support agency operations. Through proactive maintenance and timely repairs, this position plays a vital role in protecting agency assets, promoting a safe environment for survivors, staff, and visitors, and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of agency.

Domestic Violence Advocate
Department: Outreach Victim Services
FLSA​ Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule: Days, may include, evenings, and weekends when needed.
Under the direction of the Outreach Services Coordinator, the Domestic Violence Advocate performs a wide variety of duties involved in providing support and advocacy for the rights and protection of victims of stalking, domestic violence, and dating violence. They are responsible for the assessment of the individual victim’s needs and will work together with other community resources to fulfill those needs, which may include shelter, counseling, referrals, accompaniment, transportation, legal advocacy, and support. The Domestic Violence Advocate is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the advocacy services and ensuring that all data and client documentation is appropriately maintained. The Domestic Violence Advocate will assist in the recruitment, training, support, work coordination and direction of volunteer staff assigned to FOW.

Children & Youth Advocate

Under the direction of the Outreach Services Coordinator, the Children & Youth Advocate will provide safety and empowerment of child, adolescent, and teen victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing individual and group case management along with crisis intervention and peer support services. The Children & Youth Advocate is also responsible for developing and implementing an effective working relationship with Child Protective Services (CPS) to improve the coordination of services for the agency’s CPS clients while serving as the agency’s CPS Liaison.

Data Systems & Support Staff
Data Quality Specialist
Department: Data Systems & Support Staff

 Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Data Quality Specialist ensures the accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, and security of programmatic data collected through the Family Violence, Sexual Assault, Rapid Re-Housing, and Education Programs. Working closely with direct service staff and leadership, this position plays a key role in supporting high-quality, trauma-informed data practices that help evaluate program impact, meet grant reporting requirements, and improve services for survivors.

Selection Process

2. A panel of program managers and leadership will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials. Please note: candidates that are successful in this step of the selection process will also be considered for other similar opportunities.
