 ADMINISTRATION
Finance Manager
Department:  Management        
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Exempt          Work Schedule:  Days, may include some weekends and evenings. 
The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing a diverse group of funding sources, including local, state and federal grants.  Will oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures. Reports to the Executive Director, this role requires a proactive, hands-on strategic thinker who will own, in partnership with the Executive Director, the responsibility for financial management of the organization.  The Finance Manager will lead all day-to-day finance operations of a budget of $2 million and supervise a team of 1-2 staff members including operational responsibility across accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration, functions.  The Finance Manager will ensure that FOW's current and future data-accounting systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conduct flawless audits.

Outreach Housing Advocate
Department:  Supportive Housing
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt                                 Work Schedule:  Varies, includes days, evenings, weekends and some graveyards. 
The Outreach Housing Advocate provides immediate intensive case management services to victims of family violence, sexual assault and homeless clients who may reside at the family violence and sexual assault shelter or are receiving outreach services.  The Outreach Housing Advocate will provide direct services to our Supportive Housing Program to include but not limited to outreach and engagement services to homeless individuals living on the streets of Cameron County.  Outreach Housing Advocate will assist family violence and/or sexual assault victims/survivors transition from emergency shelter to housing programs.

OUTREACH VICTIM SERVICES
Community Outreach Advocate
Department:  Outreach Victim Services
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt                                 Work Schedule:  Days, may include some evenings and weekends. 
Community Outreach Advocate will be responsible for providing services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and conducting community education and prevention strategies to increase awareness and prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking in the rural areas of Cameron County. The Community Outreach Advocate will work under the Rural Community Matters Project that provides victim/survivors with client-centered, trauma-informed support, mobile advocacy, and education and information regarding community resources. The Community Outreach Advocate is responsible for the assessment of the individual victim’s needs and will work together with other community resources to fulfill those needs which may include lodging, counseling, referrals, accompaniment, transportation, legal advocacy and support, will work collaboratively to support coworkers on various projects assigned.  The Community Outreach Advocate will also work closely with appropriate Advisory Committee members, Staff, Volunteers and the community to achieve goals of the Rural Community Matters Project.

Children - Youth Advocate
Department:  Outreach Victim Services
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt                                 Work Schedule:  Days, may include some evenings and weekends. 
Children & Youth Advocate will provide safety and empowerment of child, adolescent and teen victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing individual and group case management along with crisis intervention and peer support services.  The Children & Youth Advocate is also responsible for developing and implementing an effective working relationship with Child Protective Services to improve coordination of services for the agency’s CPS clients while serving as the agency’s CPS Liaison.

EMERGENCY SHELTER
Residential Advocate
Department:  Emergency Shelter
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt                                   Work Schedule:  Varies, includes evenings, graveyard, weekends 
The Residential advocate will provide services to residents and non-residents following the philosophy of the Friendship of Women, Inc., which includes empowerment, knowledge of power differentials and gender issues, and setting appropriate boundaries.  The advocate will assist to oversee the safety, general welfare, and day-to-day needs of the clients and their children receiving shelter or outreach services.  Helps clients acclimate to a communal living environment by providing peer counseling/support, education, and mentoring.

Selection Process
1. An evaluation of training and experience of submitted resumes will be performed by Human Resources.
2. A panel of program managers and leadership will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials. Please note: candidates that are successful in this step of the selection process will also be considered for other similar opportunities.
3. It is our goal to schedule the first round of interviews as soon as possible.  Therefore, the first interview will be conducted over the phone.
