Employment Opportunities

SUPPORT STAFF
Community Outreach Clerk
Department:  Admin.
FLSA Status:  Part-time, Non-Exempt                                                      Work Schedule: Varies, includes some weekends
Community Outreach Clerk provides office support to management on administrative functions of the agency.  Ensures efficient office operations and provides assistance to all programs, but mainly to fiscal department.  Reports to the Executive Director.  Clerk is the main greeter for the office.  Answers the telephone, route calls and distribute messages as needed.  Responsible for opening and closing the community center.  Maintains common areas including the office supply closet, bathrooms and kitchen.  Maintains current and previous fiscal year A/P, A/R, and payroll files available in finance department office.  Assists with volunteer program by performing background checks, volunteer timesheets and records in-kind volunteer monthly hours.  Receives and records donations.  Drop off or pick up items and or documentations as related to agency business.  Collects and distributes agency mail on a daily basis to include date stamp.

B.I.P.P Clerk

FLSA Status:  Part -time, Non-Exempt                                                   Work Schedule:  Varies, includes evenings & weekends
B.I.P.P. Clerk will oversee and coordinate the intake and enrollment process and participate related services administered by the Education Program, the Batterer's Intervention & Prevention Program, in conjunction with the program Database.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION & PREVENTION
Community Educator
Department:  Education
FLSA Status:  Part-time, Non-Exempt                                                       Work Schedule: Varies, may include some evenings/weekends
Community Educator will conduct outreach education activities to rural community residents to help increase awareness and refer victims to services.

SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
Housing Navigator
Department:  Housing
FLSA Status:  Full-Time, Non-Exempt                                                           Work Schedule:  Varies, may include evenings/weekends
The Navigator will provide individualized client support throughout this entire journey by helping each client develop an individualized service plan and address any barriers to obtaining and maintaining permanent housing. This includes linking with services to increase income (employment or benefit enrollment), identifying any medical needs, as well as accessing substance use and mental health resources as needed. As part of the plan, the Navigator in conjunction with the client will identify each area clients will need assistance to accomplish the outlined goals and objectives. The Housing Navigator will work closely as part of the COC outreach team to track homeless trends and work with the community to identify solutions.

EMERGENCY SHELTER
Residential Advocate 
Department: Emergency Shelter
FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt                                                           Work Schedule: Varies, rotating shifts include
daytime/graveyard/evenings/weekends
Provide services to residents and non-residents following the philosophy of the Friendship of Women, Inc., which includes empowerment, knowledge of power differentials and gender issues, and setting appropriate boundaries. Advocate, will assist to oversee the safety, general welfare, and day-to-day needs of the clients and their children receiving shelter or outreach services. Helps clients acclimate to a communal living environment by providing peer counseling/support, education, and mentoring.

Children & Youth Advocate
Department: Emergency Shelter
FLSA Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt                                      Work Schedule: Varies, includes evenings/weekends
Children and Youth Advocate will provide safety and empowerment of child, adolescent and teen victims of domestic violence and sexual assault by providing individual and group case management along with crisis intervention and peer support services. The Children and Youth Advocate also provides resources and referrals for women and children residing at the Shelter, transitional housing, and receiving services  at the shelter and in the rural area. Advocate will provide crisis intervention, child advocacy, hospital, court, medical, law enforcement accompaniment/transportation.

Community Outreach Advocate

Community Outreach Advocate provides direct victim services, mobile advocacy and crisis intervention, and outreach to children, youth, and adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking in rural community area.

Selection Process
1. An evaluation of training and experience of submitted resumes will be performed by Human Resources.
2. A panel of program managers and leadership will perform an evaluation of experience and training taken from your employment application materials. Please note: candidates that are successful in this step of the selection process will also be considered for other similar opportunities.
3. It is our goal to schedule the first round of interviews as soon as possible.  Therefore, the first interview will be conducted over the phone.
