Friendship of Women's Community Center

Men, women, and their children experiencing a crisis as a result of domestic violence or sexual assault can seek services by visiting our Community Center.  We provide individualized services focused on healing and empowerment.
Crisis Intervention - Individualized services and assistance to reduce stress and provide immediate, short-term support. Support services include safety planning, understanding and support, information and education.

Peer Support Groups - Survivor support groups are held twice a month and cover educational material and issues brought up by the group. Every effort is made to provide on-site child services and care during groups. Support groups provide a safe space for survivors to speak openly with others who have experienced similar traumas in their lives.

Counseling - Individual, group and family counseling is provided to adult and child victims of sexual abuse or domestic violence.

Legal Advocacy + Accompaniment - Advocacy and support services to help identify individual legal needs, rights and options. Includes court accompaniments in the pursuit of those goals. Advocates and volunteers provide education and guides survivors through the civil and criminal justice process. Also includes assistance with applying for a protective order and seeking legal aid.

Hospital Accompaniment - Support for survivors of rape and/or domestic violence and their loved ones after receiving a request from law enforcement, hospital personnel, or per survivor request.
